Planned Parenthood Demonstrates Pattern of Abuse Toward Women

On Tuesday, February 1, 2011 the pro-life youth group Live Action released a stunning undercover video showing a Planned Parenthood Director offering assistance to an alleged pimp of a underage sex trafficking ring.  In the video below, the Director advises the pimp how to circumvent state abortion laws to obtain abortions for girls as young as 15.

At first, Planned Parenthood defended their director, calling the edited video a hoax.  In response, Live Action publicly released the unedited full-length video, which had been provided to various state and federal law enforcement officers, including the FBI and US Attorney General Eric Holder.  The next day Planned Parenthood fired the director.

Two days later on February 3, 2011, Live Action released a second undercover video showing another Planned Parenthood Director, this time in Richmond, Virginia, also offering assistance to an alleged underage sex trafficking ring.  She also advised the alleged pimp how to get abortions in violation of the law for his prostitutes who were as young as 14 years old.  On video, the director blatantly admits they routinely do not follow the mandatory sex abuse of minors reporting laws in VA.

Planned Parenthood called this video "misleading" stating that the staff member, “reacted professionally to a highly unusual person posing as a patient.”  In the Richmond case, no one has been fired.

The more than four years of Live Action undercover expose work, clearly demonstrates that women, especially underage girls, are not safe at Planned Parenthood.  There is a shocking pattern displayed in these videos that can only lead one to assume the protection of sexual predators is institutional policy within the organization.

"I am not proud to tell you this.  But, I feel like it is necessary.  You need to know that what you see in these videos presented by Live Action is not a rare occurrence.  It happens every day in some Planned Parenthood clinic in this country.  Pimps are sending their workers into the arms of Planned Parenthood.  Why?  Because Planned Parenthood is safe.  I don’t mean safe in a good way.  I mean safe in the worst way.  It is safe for the pimp and dangerous for the women."

As we wait to see if Live Action produces additional undercover videos, we are left wondering when the proper legal authorities will launch their own investigations into the actions of these Planned Parenthood clinics.  An Alabama state investigation following a 2008 Live Action undercover video resulted in a  Birmingham Planned Parenthood clinic being placed on probation for 9 legal violations.

In response to the Live Action videos, Indiana Congressman Mike Pence  stated, “Every American should be shocked that an employee of the largest recipient of federal funds under Title X has been recorded aiding and abetting underage sex trafficking. The time to deny any and all funding to Planned Parenthood is now.”  He then urged Congress to move the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act to the floor for immediate consideration.  This Act would deny federal funding to Planned Parenthood of America.  Currently, Planned Parenthood receives more than $350 Million taxpayer dollars a year.

As Congress looks for ways to cut back our deficit spending, urge your Congressman and Senator to start by passing the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act to stop giving your tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood of America.

**Update** LiveAction released a 6th tape of Planned Parenthood aiding an alleged underage sex trafficker on February 7, 2011.  This tape from a clinic in Bronx, NY shows a Planned Parenthood staffer advising a self professed pimp to pose as the guardian of his underage sex workers to gain abortions for non-english speaking prostitutes as young as 13, in violation of state law.

**Update** Undercover Planned Parenthood video from DC clinic released February 10, 2011 showing staffers aiding sex trafficker of minor girls.  Does the main stream media see the pattern yet?

Don’t Leave Facebook for Lent – Take it Over!

So many Christians leave Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media channels for their Lenten devotion or fast.  With the purpose of Lent being to rededicate our lives to God and grow in holiness, I understand why so many fast from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more for Lent.  Our social media feeds these days are full of darkness, sadness, and temptation.  They are far from the original purpose of the platforms to bring community together. Pope Benedict said in his message for World Communications Day 2013, “Believers are increasingly aware that, unless the Good News is made known also in the digital world, it may be absent in the experience of many people for whom this existential space is important.”  He continued. “Social networks… also reshape the dynamics of communication which builds relationships.”  This is part of the reason why I dedicate my time to sharing the Good News online.  I believe in my call as a Christian to go and make disciples of ALL NATIONS – eve

Prayer to End the School Year

Another school year is coming to an end.  And what a year the 2017-2018 school year was..... The events of the last 9 months have made me not only thankful to see it end but needing to get on my knees to Thank God for many things.  This school year began with Hurricane Harvey hitting our area and ended with the devastating school shooting at nearby Santa Fe High School. In the middle of the crisis around us there were so many beautiful things, events and people that touched and changed our community and family for the better.  Let's just start with the teachers and administrators who have interacted with my kids this year...  A special social studies teacher that made a fast friend out of my geography obsessed daughter, an ELA teacher who slowly won my oldest daughter over with her love of the written word, a soccer trainer who pushed my son harder than he thought he could handle, and then helped him recognize how that hard work paid off.  What about a school nurse who repeated

12 Quotes from St. Teresa of Calcutta

St. Teresa of Calcutta made a deep impression on me as a young girl as I watched her on tv and in news. Who doesn't remember the iconic picture of Mother Teresa with Princess Diana splashed across all magazines, newspapers and news shows?  To me, Saints were people who lived a long time ago, but here she was, a saint in the making.  Mother Teresa was a role model of how to become a Saint in our modern world, by giving her life to God through her dedication to the poor. On her feast day, I want to share with you a few of my favorite quotes from St. Teresa of Calcutta.   Her words are seemingly simple and straightforward but packed with meaning.  My selection comes out of a new favorite book I picked up called, Mother Teresa: Her Essential Wisdom by Carol Kelly-Gangi.  This little book contains hundreds of quotes from St. Teresa of Calcutta centered around specific themes as well as a summary of her biography and quotes about her from others.  "God does not demand that
